Research Interests

Working at the intersection of environmental communication and text mining, he studies how the climate crisis is represented, communicated, and contested across media and online public spheres. Drawing on large-scale text such as news articles and comments, he applies topic modeling, network analysis, and content analysis to examine the structure and change of climate discourse, combining social-scientific inquiry with computational methods. From climate crisis discourse, his work extends to the social acceptance of energy policy, inter-Korean environmental and renewable-energy research cooperation, and the analysis of IPCC assessment reports.

Environmental Communication

He studies how climate crisis and environmental issues are framed and circulated in media and the public sphere. By analyzing online articles and comments, he examines the discourse structure of climate-related communication.

Text Mining

He uses topic modeling, network analysis, and other computational text analysis methods to extract meaningful themes and patterns from large-scale textual data in environmental and energy research.
